You can get a degree or so using pre-existing holes in the strut tower. I'm fuzzy on the details but my BMW tech said it's kosher. No kit or anything, it's all there from the factory. |

the strut tower mod is simply removing the factory guide pins, and does not require any bolt kit. if there is some other mod going on, be sure to get detail and post them. zpost would be glad to have more information. also, you could use 4 front wheels on carefully selected tires. you would still need one helluva neg camber setting for the front though.

That strut tower mod sounds right, it's just the guide pins IIRC. Wish I was the mechanical expert but alas, no. Hell, we're still trying to code out TPMS on my '07. |

They fit great and are a huge improvement on the original elypical 202's i think, that are boxed up now for sale in Hong Kong... . Thanks for the help and advise to all from this thread!!!! Just a few more days and the BMW Performance brake kit goes on as well.

I'm not too picky, I just want 313s, 18 or 19s will do, no money for rims right now though

1) Were camber plates absolutely necessary? If so, what camber are you running? Streetable? Are your fenders rolled? 2) Do you think these wheels will fit 17x9.0 ET30 (http://www.apexraceparts.com/ARC-8-1...l_p_151.html)? I am guessing yes because you got 17x9.5 ET35 to fit? 3) Instead of going with staggered 17x9.0 and 17x19.5, you picked square. Why? (I understand you may cite performance, ability to rotate, etc) I think I will go with 17's after seeing how your car looks. I don't want to lose the great handling/streetability on the car by going with huge heavy wheels. Looking great!

2. Yes, 17x9 et30 will fit. While I'm running 17x9.5 et35, I am also using a 5mm spacer up front effectively making it a 30 offset. I needed the 5mm to clear my coilover perch. 3. I went square because I prefer having equal rubber all 4 corners for the track. While in theory it might help with longer life, I don't bother rotating. It's my dedicated track setup and I just wanted max rubber up front and keep the car as neutral as possible. Keep in mind my answer regarding camber was specific to my suspension and my wheels (9.5 et35). Also certain tires tend to have wider shoulders, ie Star Specs and RS3 will run wider than say a Michelin PSS or Hankook V12. There's good info here on different 17" fitments for NON-M Z4's on stock suspension http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=676629 Also before ordering, I would definitely ask Eddy @ Apex for confirmed fitments. Best of luck! |

What is the highest offset you can have with a 17? I'm looking at 17s with an offset of 35 and width of 7.5". Car is an '03 3.0i, base model, stock suspension.

For what it's worth all that rubber up front without camber will result in worse handling. It it's a cost issue take a look at Rogue Engineering's fixed camber plates. I had them and was able to get -1.8*.

It's more of a streetability and tire life issue... I'm still deciding whether I should copy your setup (17x9.5ET35+camber_plates) or just go 17x19.0ET30. I really don't want to start heavily modifying my street car ... especially since "my other car is a 911"
