Best ECE Exhaust for the G80 M3
I saw there are lots of threads about exhaust options but, for us EU citizens, the choice seems harder as per our strict regulations.
I am looking for a good exhaust that has ECE, as I don't want to keep on installing and uninstalling the system to pass the tests in the future. Also, for peace of mind when driving and not being annoyed by the police. I came up with a summary table (with both ECE and non-ECE exhaust systems and its price). Any other ECE options? My heart really wants to go for the Akra, but it is hard for me to justify paying more than twice the price of a Remus or an Eisenmann (my next two candidates). Any opinion?

I’m in the states but went with Lettieri (Fausto also made the TFL and ended up leaving) which is manufactured in Italy. It looks like it meets ECU as well.

We ship to spain but no ec or ece approvals at this time. I don't see how our muffler only would cause any issues.

Aulitzky makes a great sounding Cat back exhaust for the M3/M4 ~4000 Euros with ECE Aulitzky M3/M4 Cat Back Exhaust

Not a very successful thread…
As of now, I’m 95% convinced on going with the Aulitzky ECE Catback + ECE downpipe as the pack is more or less the price as the Akrapovic exhaust alone and I am not still convinced the titanium-built thing is worth two times the price. I always wanted an Akrapovic, to be honest, but the price tag is far too high. The sound and volume of the Aulitzky is amazing (at least on videos), probably better than the Akrapovic.

I found an acceptable black friday offer for an Akrapovic + sound kit so I went for it. I hope it is worth it…

My exhaust was doing some tickling noises during cold start. Everything else seemed to work fine, I just felt that it made the experience sound “cheap”. Checked today with the dealer and they will replace the full exhaust (minus the pipes) for free, I guess this is what you get when you pay premium…

What I could see is that the issue is with the exhaust valves’ actuator system (the reason I cannot exactly tell, but maybe the parts where the actuators are places are incorrectly dimensioned and this makes the system’s part touch each other). The reason why they need to change the full exhaust is that the parts were the valve actuator system is located are welded to the exhaust system so it cannot be removed.
