Probably because western dealers are getting their own demo cars. It sounds like in these states, all the dealers are taking turns with a small number of cars.

Ugh nothing in the Northeast. I already told my dealer that my M340i lease is up this November and I am looking to get into an i4 M50 but heard nothing in terms of a test drive or a viewing so I can see if I would be interested in one.

I heard from my CA that all the 2022 i4's are sold out or no allocations left for new orders

They had the iX in November of last year. Don't think you could test drive it, but it was there for your viewing pleasure.

My guess is that this is regional sales event to beat up demand. On the west coast, the demand for i4/X is healthy enough not to need additional promo events.
