Hey

So i saw on YouTube, with f80 gen, that in order to get the shift knob off you need to pull it upwards. Is this also tru for our cars ?… does the shift boot also need to be replaced if i want to change the knob?….i have a few Raceseng pieces that i want to try with the bmw adapter they sent me.

Thanks

Hard pull has been the method for BMW shift knobs going back at least to the '80s. Doubt they changed it now.

Yes you pull it out just like in the previous generations. It was actually easier to remove it on my G80

Either you remove your stock knob or order a new Custom boot and transfer the stock bottom bracket to the new boot. Coby Wheel makes a nice Alcantara boot for $25. You will need to use a tie wrap to secure the Raceseng knob. Pics from my old M2C
