suspension change bump stops or not

pairing eibach pros with bilstein b4 sports shocks/struts on 328i. probably will be replacing strut mounts but still conflicted on whether or not to use bumpstops. some say rear only, some say not at all, some say all four corners.

bilsteins, unless something has drastically changed recently, have internal bumpstops.. stock ones are of no use.

I think that's true for B6 & B8's but not B4's.

Yea the B4's don't have internal bumpstops. I bought them for all for corners as well. Getting B4 Sports (paired with Eibach Pros) installed on Wednesday. Can't wait to get rid of the OEM shocks/struts/springs

On a 328 or 335? Either way it's an upgrade

335xi yes. Definitely will be an upgrade. Been riding on the original equipment Xdrive suspension since I purchased it...it's like steering a boat lol

Do the shocks include covers? Because the bump stops hold the covers both front and rear on the stock setup.

The B4S don't come with covers. You can buy them with the bump stop built in.

I can't say for certain what the best bumpstop setup is with Eibachs, but I can tell you it took me several tries to get it right with trying different bumpstops. H&R sports with stock bumpstops ride horribly. If I were getting Eibachs, I'd probably go ahead and get the e36 m3/z4 bumpstops as your spring rate will be significantly higher than stock and will likely ramp up too quickly with the stock ones.

I matched Eibach Pros (for 335i) with Bilstein B4 Sports and purchased all the hardware (including the bump stops) specific for Sport suspension. So I hope it works out.
