Sound not turning on immediately?

In my car, for some reason the oem premium nav equipped audio system doesn't respond or play music for the first 60 seconds or so after the car is turned on. Also, once in a while its almost like power is lost somewhere because 2 dashboard lights flash, and the audio goes out for a minute(recently started happening)

I'm not sure if they're related, but I'm wondering if my cd player unit needs to be replaced and/or the battery is going out....
