just out of curiosity...auto Climate

considering almost all options on BMW's are "PLUG and PLAY" with a trip to the dealership... I'm wondering if Auto climate control is also plug and play.

I know there needs to be sensors and everything but I have a feeling it's there just not used.

just curious.

on off topic, i just got OBC. getting programmed at dealer thursday

It's in mine as well. I like it.
*edit-but then I didn't get mine straight from the dealer...

It may well be possible, but I recall several posters on Z4um saying that the manual controls were better because you had more control over dispersion. I've got climate control in my 325i and the Z4 certainly takes less fiddling.

have it, but not impressed enough that i'd bother installing it after the fact if that is what you are asking.

I hardly ever use the auto climate myself. The only I do is on those humid wet days when the interior glass is constantly fogging up. In this case, I just set it to auto, 68 degrees. Sincee the AC comes on automatically, all the fog just melts away, without huge blasts of cold air in your face.
