ride along w. tech

2nd gear has never been smother

braught it in for strut brace issue, had a ride along, w. a warm tranny, and of course it wouldn't happen. he says he will check the tranny fluid for shavings...ugh. think he is pulling my chain?

also havent seen this issue in a while, is anything new with it?TIA

update:

BMW of Westchester has agreed to replace my tranny, found shavings in the fluid.

restored my faith

will update monday when i have the car back and have had a chance to drive it

update

the transmission is nationally back-ordered, meaning either many people are getting them replaced, or they are no longer in production... i hope it is the later

well i am really hoping that bmw has finally decided to admit that there is a problem with our transmissions! As with the rod problem on s54's in e46 m3s it seems to take bmw awhile to actually admit that they might have made a mistake.
