People assuming I bought the Z4 to pick up girls gets really old

I bought the Z4 due to its wonderful straight six, light weight, and FR layout.

I've also always liked the look of the Z4 - I think it looks like a sculpture.

But people keep asking if I bought it to pick up girls and I just think "here we go again"

Anyone else get the same thing?

I guess it doesn't help that I'm 25 and single.

In my eyes, the coupe is the looker, but there's somethnig wrong with the convertible. The lines don't mesh as well as I'd like them to, and I don't like how thin the tail is (the coupe has a bit of a chunk at the top...).

I bought for the same reasons.. and don't mind this question, which I get too.. why should you mind? And you WILL get some leg eventually as a result, so just bask in the glory of this nice little side benefit!

my choice of car was somewhat governed by the following:

- had to be RWD - ruled out the Mini Cooper S which I had considered for a long time - my mom's on her 2nd one so I can drive that when I like anyway

well I wouldn't mind if girls like the car, what I do mind is people automatically assuming that's what I bought it for, rather than the other aspects of the car

I wanted a car I'd enjoy driving, that I could take to a trackday at Spa Francorchamps...

I was thinking you would at least go for a 2 dr like an M6 but then again the M5 has easier access to the back seat!!!

I think this is better than what I get! I am 23 and live in a college town so I always get people saying stuff like "Wish my daddy would buy me a BMW".
That gets really old when you have to pay for it yourself
