Kids + 350z = LOL
Last night I was driving the E90 328 running some errands. I am sitting at a traffic light with the windows down when a 350Z pulls along side of me with 2 punk kids. Passenger proceeds to turn toward me, chuckle, and out comes a smart a$$ remark. “To bad you spent all that money on that slow POS, you’re about to get a taste of what a real Japanese sports car can do to your little Nazi-Car!” I look at this dude and I actually got a bit upset:mad:. I reply, “It’s days like today that throw me off, every time I leave the M home some stupid little prick high schoolers wanna start sh*t.” The kid says “What M? I don’t see no M” and starts to laugh harder. Light turns green and I just go normally while this kid is peeling rubber, smoke everywhere…
Now the interesting part… About 45 Minutes later I get home and get a phone call from a client that wanted to arrange a meeting. K, so I set it up and got in the M and got on my way. Driving the same direction I have previously I notice a 350z pull out of Wawa. At this point I am trying to kill time so I drive passed my destination since I had 10 minutes to spare. I was gonna just go around and come back anyway. Back to the point, so this 350z pulls out of the Wawa. I get closer and notice it is the same kids. “WOW!” I think, this is gonna be some funny sh*t. So I pull up next to these kids, windows down, and look over. Kid looks back, he looked like he just saw a ghost. He had this speechless expression. He looks at his friend and they have no idea what to say. So I say “So lets see a real Japanese car in action now.” Still no response and same old “WTF!” looks from these kids. “Yeah, that’s what I thought.” And continue on my way. It’s my girls 328 for heaven sakes, we bought it so she can drive it, not go win Grand Prix in it…

OMG LOLS!!!!!!!
I miss my 350z sooooooooo bad. I really regret going to the Z4 BUT even if mine isnt a M, I still havent gotten to the point that I felt it was lacking power. The 350 loses the top end race if you ask me. Regardless, what tools.

Take it like this. It isn't about the cars, or about where they're made. It's just about a couple of dumb punk ass kids.
Wish I was there to see their looks.

LOL that is a GREAT story... wish I could have seen those punks faces.
I happen to LOVE the 350Z though, so if I had one I might have smoked your azz too.

I hang my head in disappointment Oh, and ARTz: Cool story. In your Z4 you don't need to prove a damn thing. Obviously in a 350z - there is plenty of room for doubt...

Well after a slew of back to back Bimmers, my last car was an Infinit G35 6MT coupe. She was fast and fun, but she wasn't no Bimmer.

3 weeks ago while my girlfriend was driving my Z4 alone, a old porsche (that's what she refers, she just says it looks old) with 2 middle-age men pulled up and asked whether she wanted to race with him. My gf just ignored them and turned into other street.

I do understand completely about love affairs and cars. And dogs. I hope you get over your loss and can at some time come to appreciate your Z4 for all her great points. Regrets are powerful things that poison our todays.

I didnt eat for a week and lost 5lbs... I wonder if this happens to men? I liked the older 300xzs and didnt care for the 350 until a few years passed and somehow my mind changed. Anyway, perhaps time will heal all wounds. Thanks.

That's too bad...because the 350Z really is a brilliant piece of kit and Nismo has some serious goodies for that car.
I had my first ride in a Z in the first year of introduction when I was instructing at a BMW Club driving school at Mosport and one of the guest instructors from the Carolinas showed up with one...almost brand spanking new. I was thoroughly impressed with the car in stock trim right out of the box on the track...and could only imagine what a little tweaking with some coil overs, a set of R compounds and a half cage could do for that car. But they're getting into the hands of idiots now, as evidenced by the story, and that's more than a bit of a shame...

Girls are crazy. You have a nice car, no need to get sentimental about the old one. Think of it like this. I just got rid of my 02 626. My wife was the primary driver. She liked the car while we were in germany, mostly cuz they didn't have US Spec 626s there and the euro spec ones look...different.
Anyway...when I got back from germany in Jan, she began to loath the car. Cuz she saw many 626s that looked like hers and she hated that. So we got rid of the car and had no regrets. Moral...350Zs are a dime a dozen, how many Z4 Coupes do you see on the road? And besides the Z4 coupe is HOT. Oh, BTW good story Artz. F'ing kids. I parked at a Lowes today about 200 ft from the door and took up 2+ spots to make sure no idiot puts a ding in my door. So i park and get out and these kids are staring...and one of says "That's like four spots" and i reply "yeah, so?". So they mumbled something. Anyway the damn parking lot was empty and there wasn't a car within 30 ft of mine. STFU and mind your god damn business.

I always park away from cars and my passengers always seem to bitch about walking but lots of people swing their doors open without a care in the world.

Never complain about someone else dinging your car and leaving without a note. In a court I reckon they'd say that a car park is a car park and you get what you get. I DON'T WANT DINGS - so I find the safest, widest, least cluttered spaces I can get. Or I park in the street away from everyone else. I like to walk anyway, so does Annie (my dog who goes everywhere with me).

I used to park near the mall entrance, but don't know why all those huge SUVs love to park beside me and give me dings. I just got 2 last month on my Audi, at the same time, I was so mad that I would never park my car near anyone else.
