Would you guys be able to fabricate something that has a rounded edge as the above sideskirts instead of a flat cut?

A flat cut design would potentially make it look like any other universal fit CF skirts on eBay. A rounded edge version would look much more "OE"?

I would remove my flat ones I have for a curved OEM looking piece.
I like.

It looks nice and a great idea.

Our design will have some thickness/rounded edge to it instead of just a flat piece; however, making one version for both side skirt will be tough if it rise up along the side wall of the skirt.

Also, it we want the extension to be adjustable (inboard/outboard) it'll be tough to have the above look.

We are open to ideas and will adopt to general consensus. Keep the comments coming!

How about no kick up but more like the sides on the Corvette Z06 or ZR1? I am not sure how to describe that "notch".

The problem is that I don't see that working for the aero skirts.

Jordan, could you make a quick rendering?

Cheers

So we compared both side skirts and if we we're to design just 1" or so rising up to the side of the the skirt, we will have to make two versions. The current design will have to be flat mounted from underneath; however, it will not be a flat sheet of Carbon Fiber. It'll have some thickness to them with curve inline with the car. I'll post a rendering very soon.

I don't know how far along y'all are in your design process, but here's a version where it'll fit on both version of the skirt and offer some variety in design:

Have the skirt extension stick out further for the first 3/4 of the length of the skirt, then tuck back into the line(s) of the car on the last 1/4.

This is exactly what I meant as well. I think a kink in the middle would look nice.

I like the Z06's skirts look but I think for the Z4, it'd look better with a narrower front skirt, going wider towards the rear of it. Maybe it'll give the Z4 a "beefier" look.

It might have to do with coming in and out of the vehicle. You don't want to step on it every time you get in or out.

I like the Z06 the best of all the choices.
