Best way to clean seat belts?

Foolishly placed car parts box in back seat but one of the boxes leaked. Cleaning the seats was not an issue but my light colored seat belt soaked up some oil. Despite best attempts of cleaning with dishwasher soap I can still see a darkened area. Any suggestion?

Brake cleaner in a spray can, it's basically dry cleaning fluid.
Test it in and unseen area first though

Steamer is what a lot of detailers use.
