New KW V3/Clubsport front struts bare for Z4
Brand new never mounted front KW V3/Clubsport front struts for Z4 (non M). Same strut is used in both V3 and Clubsport kits, I learned from KW customer service. These are directly from a new kit, I had to buy the correct front struts directly from KW to fit my Z4M, so these are now extra parts that I need to get rid of. PN are 64020025 (Left) and 64020026 (Right). Listed for half price what KW will charge. Great spares for those who already have this kit.

Yup, springs, spring perches, and then camber plates if you plan to use them (vs OEM strut tops). My Clubsport kit came with helper springs, so you have to decide if you want to add those, too. All can be purchased as spare parts directly from KWUSA.

Another fun fact, these front struts are same PNs as used on V3 kit. The only difference is that V3 uses progressive front springs. So if you need spare struts for your V3 or Clubsport kit, these are the ones.

The kits for the normal Z4 come all with linear springs. Here the only difference with the clubsport sets, is that the clubsport sets have a heavier linear spring (7kg/mm instead of 5kg/mm). Also the clubsport sets come with the camber adjustable top plates (therefore they are more expensive than V3, the difference in price is the price for the top plates), but clubsport sets have no warranty (ment for track use)

Thanks for that clarification on the springs for Z4 kits. That was an assumption on my part. But the strut PNs are the same for V3 and Clubsport, per KW USA.

You can check this in the installation instructions and TüV documents. However, they are identical despite having a different p/n number, I guess to make identification less difficult (that's the only reason I can think of). (So internal valving and build spec on clubsports and V3 struts is the same). The internal valving is even the same between z4 and z4m struts (but knuckle mounting system is of course different). The only thing different is that the advices valve setting (clicks open/closed) for the z4m is different than for the z4; probably due to that the z4m front is heavier due to the cast iron s54. I backchecked this with the development department in germany. I guess I'm writing this so people don't get confused if they start backtracking PN's in the KW documents etc. So it's very easy to change from V3 to clubsport on the (non M) z4: change the linear 5kg/mm spring (170mm spring length) for a 7kg/mm 170mm spring, and ad the pillowball top mounts (of course you can change top mounts to personal preference, but the KW ones are decent quality with good dust seal protection, so very suitable to street use). The only other difference as mentioned is that a V3 set has a 2 year warranty (ment for street use) and a clubsport set has no warranty (track use). At least here in Europe; warranty situation might be different from country to country as legal systems can differ. In some countries (germany) it's also not permitted to drive on the street with clubsports as there is no TüV approval. So in that case you have to get independant TüV approval for these parts. (in germany, more or less everything you change on your car has to be formally added to the car's registration papers; some other countries (I believe Belgium) may have a similar system). For the z4m, you need more parts to turn a V3 set into a clubsport set. You need the linear 7kg/mm 170mm spring, the intermediate spring plate, the helper spring, the top spring plate and the pillowball top mounts.

![]() Not trying to fool anyone here. To be 100% clear, these struts were directly from the Z4 (non M) Clubsport kit. They make work with another setup (V3), but you should verify with KW Auto North America (contact them here: orders@kwautomotive.com)

The threaded area on the strut body measures about 2” (52mm) in diameter.

Good informative thread. MY Clubsports (nonM) are holding up Ok so far, but I'm itching for spares. I just don't know what the rebuild period is supposed to be on these.
If you don't sell, keep me posted. Price is a bit too high for me unless I absolutely need them...

ive got a matching z4m set of rear clubsports that have about 6 track days on em, but been in the cupboard for a few years now. That would complete the set, cheaply..
