FS: 08 Z4 M Roadster (57k miles + No Navi)

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
USD 27,000.00

Item Interest
Spent months looking for a late build Z4 M roadster that was minimally optioned (i.e., no navi). Then I found this beauty, with rare gray canvas top with the only option being heated manual seats. This is the closest you can get to a lightweight configuration. Car has never seen snow and sits in my garage connected to a CTEK fender during the winters. Car is mechanically sound, never left me stranded nor does it have any CEL codes. I throw in a bottle of Techron every 3 months and change the oil annually or every 5k with Liqui Moly 10w-60.
  • Space Gray Metallic w/ Gray soft top
  • Black Nappa leather
  • Carbon fiber trim
  • 57,xxx accident free miles
  • 2 keys, owner's manual and clean title
  • Non-smoker owned

Exterior 9/10
Prior owner had a clear bra but those were never meant to last 10+ years. So in preparation for the sale, I removed the film and used the opportunity to touch up the paint and fill in the license plate holes. I’d rate the overall paint to be in excellent condition. I noticed shortly after taking ownership that the windshield was replaced at some point, but happy to report they opted for Pilkington, which is good as if not better than the OE glass. Soft top is in great working order (see video). No rips, tears or leaks in the fabric. Prior service history shows the hydraulic pump was even replaced at one point.

Wheels & Tires 9.5/10
The original Style 224s came with decent curb rash courtesy of prior owners, so I had them professional refinished and powder coated back to factory silver plus a layer of ceramic coat. Prior to refurb, wheels were all straight and true. Alternatively, I have a mint set of Style 32 wheels I can swap in place of the Style 224s.

Interior 8.5/10
Leather seats are in great condition with no cracks or wear whatsoever. Only reason I'm not rating it perfect is b/c we all know the soft plastics are not the most durable, though I did however replace some trim pieces along the way.

Upgrades
Factory Accessories
  1. Center solid wind deflector (way BETTER looking than the leather piece or any aftermarket plexiglas option)
  2. M trunk mat and all-weather mats
  3. ZHP shift knob

Aftermarket Upgrades
  1. Morimoto xenon projectors
  2. Philips LED bulbs for interior
  3. Bluetooth audio adapter
  4. Sound deadening to trunk cavity
  5. AKG/Rogue transmission mounts & cups

Preventive Upgrades
  1. Motorsport engine bolts
  2. Front sway reinforcement plates

Options Coded - all of which can be restored to factory settings if desired.
  • Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) - enabled
  • TPMS - disabled
  • Amber DRLs - disabled

Maintenance
I have documentation that was given to me by the prior owner. Under my ownership, I've been very current on maintenance, but I did a lot of the work myself (specially during the pandemic) so I don't have formal service receipts. I can however, provide receipts for any parts that I purchased related to said maintenance work. As for the burning question on everyone's mind, while I've addressed almost all items from Inspection 2, I did not get around to rod bearings or valve adjustments. I was holding off on those till I hit the 60k mark but at this rate, that probably won't happen till end of 2024.

Price & Location
Only reason I’m selling is because I don’t have enough time to enjoy it. I’ve been fortunate enough to find a job that lets me work from home so what was supposed to be my fun commuter car has been a weekend morning cruiser at best.

Car is located in Fairfield County (CT). I'm more than happy to arrange a PPI with a shop of your choice so long as you front the cost. My asking price is $27,000 OBO. Thanks for looking!

Photos taken just now with my iPhone, all unedited.

I plan to remount the Style 32 wheels next week and swap back to the stock muffler tips.
