Help please (struts & shocks)

I purchased a used 2011 BMW Z4 35i in great condition. I have noticed the ride is great unless you hit anything larger that a 2" rise then it feels like you hit a curb. I am at 66,000 miles and considering replacing struts ans shocks. Dealer is useless for options or recommendations. I have the M sport suspension and am looking to you guys for the real scoop on best options. Would you replace with factory OEM equipment or go for some high end 3rd party? I'm not a track guy but like to push the right foot at times. Thanks in advance for your expertise.
