Actually, it does (specially learning a new language or an instrument). But I totally agree with you that it's not a problem if you put your mind to it.

Just wondering from the older folk, who may have started to play later in life, how hard it is. Unfortunately, I do not have a lot of free time.

Believe me, I have to keep learning in my line of work since I have a required number of credits per year every year to keep my license. It is different though because I already learned my field. It is just keeping up to date. Just like learning a new song if you already know how to play.
