AS SSK and throw reduction?

Does anyone still here have an Auto Solutions SSK and what % reduction did you all get? I ordered a 10% but I am thinking of asking to go to 0% if he didn't already start it. My thought is the shift is short enough and notchy enough in this car to begin with, but I am not sure if the 10% is simply a minor difference.

Thanks!

I’ve got 18% and really happy I chose it. IMO it feels way better than stock, almost similar to S2000

Don’t overthink it. Trust me — you’ll invent reasons to shift gears.

Has anyone had a chance to compare a UUC shifter vs AS in real life, back to back even?

I have UUC since it was already in the car when I bought it and it shifts pretty good. Much shorter from stock and very positive, zero vagueness. 2nd gear shift can still be a bitch in certain situations.

With that said, I don't find it relaxing to drive on the street. For track, 100% great, but for street driving I feel like it needs "manhandling". So I kinda don't like that part of it.

What does AS shifter feel like?

I have two AS SSKs, one in the coupe, installed in 2010 and still absolutely rockin' best mod for the car. The other just recently purchased and installed in my M roadster. I was frankly surprised that Ronald was still at it after all these years. The new one has the heavier selector rod and a few minor tweaks compared to the older one but he's got it pretty much perfected at this point.

I'd say bounce your thoughts off him and see what he thinks too. In my m coupe, I kept the OE knob, can't remember the specs on that shifter. The roadster which I picked up last year had the F10 knob in it already. The shifter I had him make this time has a 20% reduction and I wanted it just a tad lower/shorter than OE height, so he took into account the shorter knob compared to OE and adjusted lengths appropriately. Disclaimer - I haven't been in one with a different shifter, but I can't believe there is anything better out there now having two of his shifters. It's precise, engaging, not difficult to deal with. Manhandling is definitely not a word I would use to characterize an AS shifter. They do seem to smooth out a bit over time, but they don't change much, which I think is a testament to good design.

I ordered 20% as well, but I haven't installed it yet. How do you like it?
