My "M" strut protection caps arrived today

Had them on the roadster. Gives the engine compartment a nice clean look. Found on E46 M3's

Part # 31-31-2-229-458 8.62 ea from either Tischer or North Haven.

Ahhh...looked like part of the part number. That's pretty cheap, and I agree it will really clean up the towers.

I figure these can be easily modified to fit the soon to released (I hope) RE race brace. A little cutting. But I dont track so maybe I dont need the race brace but it looks cool as hell.

Ordered these over the weekend and just put them on my car last night. Installation needed them covered by a soft rag and some taps with a mallet.

The do look nice! Will have to see how they hold up through on and off as I will be removing them for track days when I adjust the shocks.

booo ... adds weight. Jk! I personally like the exposed bolts, but if you like them covered, these look like they will do the job in style.

Though they're kind of overkill for the task, they do keep the strut wells from filling with water when I wash out the engine bay. Plus the caps that were in there didn't fit over the top of the adjustable struts that well.

The worst of it is I've now got ///M markings on my non-M vehicle. I expect the black helicopters full of badge whore police to show up any minute...
