Drop in speaker upgrade?

I'm looking for a simple but effective mod to upgrade the audio quality in the roadster. Can anyone recommend some speakers that can be driven with the stock amp?

Bavsound makes drop-in speaker upgrades for most bmws including the E85/E86 Z4. They're expensive though and only replaces a few of the speakers so it's hard to know how much of an upgrade it'll be. It's $450 and only replaces the tweeters and the speakers in the doors, not the ones in the footwell or behind the seats. Bimmertech does similar stuff but doesn't make a kit for our cars.

If your car already has the DSP system then it's hard to just upgrade the speakers and get a better sound. Would likely have to do something more involved.

No DSP here, just the standard system. For how many speakers it has, it all sounds just so flat and muddy. Need to figure out which speakers affect the sound quality the most and upgrade those first.

I'm in the same situation as Sergio, how can I tell if my system has DSP?

If you have the premium package, you got DSP

I heard of one guy using Jaguar XF speakers in his Z4 with DSP... I saw it on a FB post.. Not sure how many of the speakers he ended up swapping out.
