I picked up my Z4M Coupe last Spring, but my true love is E30s.
I passed time by building E30's while I was in college. This is right before the bubble started on them. This one is my current one, which is fresh out of the paint shop: a 1988 325 Coupe in Royalblau Metallic with the 2.7 liter M20 motor, which is known for being torquey, but down on power compared to the 325i/325is. They're known as Super ETA's in the E30 community as the 1988 2.7 liter models are regarded as "special" one-year-only models. With a little bit of top end motor work, they become on par with the power of the faster 2.5 liter motors, but with more torque. I did this to my last one, but this time I'm planning on turboing my current one in the spring. Pics are of the current state, the day I bought the car, as well as the 08 Harley, if anyone is interested in those on here haha |

Ohhhhhh....
That's my ultimate dream car....the 2008 Lotus Exige's supercharged 1.8L 4 cyl Toyota power creates appx 200 HP and weighs appx 2,000 lbs....as Sir Colin Chapman said "simplify, then add lightness".

Wowie -
Indeed - just did a side by side comparison of a 2021 X3 and 2004 X5....the X3 is larger in all aspects as you noted.

It's a beast. Power delivery is so smooth. Torque is astounding. You'd never know it's a 5000+ lb vehicle. I love it.

I have toyed with getting one numerous times but the unplanned repairs always bring me back to earth. What was your search and due diligence like for your E70 X5M purchase? |
