Engine Died
Anyone else have this problem? I was driving to work this morning in my Z4M, engine was still cold, and as I was about to pull onto the freeway my engine cut out. Obviously the power steering was gone so I pulled over and turned it off, then restarted and everything was fine.
This is the third time it's happened, seems to happen every 4-5 months, with no other issues. Mechanic suggested it's the crankshaft sensor, he's going to look at it later, but does anyone have any experience with this? |

If it was angry enough at a sensor reading to shut the engine down cold, it should definitely have stored a code.
If there's no code stored, then I would suspect some sort of intermittent electrical connection.
