Aux input issues

I recently purchased a 2008 z4 si and it has an aux input. I have plugged my phone into the aux in using correct cable but get no sound and the radio has no settings mode to switch to aux input. Any ideas or suggestions?

First check to see if the aux cable is plugged into the back of the wiring harness that plugs into the radio…

So when you repeatedly press the "Mode" button on the radio it doesn't cycle through to AUX as one of the options after FM/AM/CD?

I have an 07 with nav and the aux jack and Mine shows the AUX option even with nothing plugged into it. If that's not showing up you could try disconnecting the battery for a few mins to reset everything. Just be aware you might have to set the clock again and might have to recalibrate the one touch function for the windows after reconnecting the battery.
