Z4 3.0si headlight adjuster help

Hi all,

On the E85 headlights, on the part of the headlight near the side of the bumpers should there be a threaded adjuster behind the hollow metal cylinder, or is it just the metal cylinder that goes through the headlight light? If anyone has pictures of the side of the headlight that would be very helpful, I could only find "head on shots".

Here's a pic from my car and according to Real OEM there should be two adjusters (item #1 in the RealOEM picture) and two metal cylinders (I only have one). Pics are from the driver side (I'm in the US, LHD):

My car, '06 3.0si Roadster, Xenon, only seems to have one adjuster (to move light toward car or away) but nothing for the side, near the wheel arch. The lights seem "too tucked in" and I think a missing adjuster is the likely reason.

Anyone have any insight here? Tried to do my research before posting but can't figure out if RealOEM is right or not.

Hi there, I am having the same issue with my 2007 after removing the after market Spyder headlight that the previous owner installed.
If RealOEM is correct I am also missing parts. I have one barrel (#2) on the outer area of the headlight and one of the strange
looking mounts (#1) on the bottom. Is that bottom one adjustable? I see it turns but it doesn't seem to affect the headlight
aim at all. I could be wrong on that. I really hope someone who knows chimes in on this.

Hi guys, there's another thread on this. I've had the same issue. It seems that some of our cars just have the adjuster at the bottom, and the bolt going through the cyclinder in fresh air is actually correct...although it doesn't seem correct. Apparently the headlight aim on later cars is adjusted internally inside the light unit itself... I was about to make a nylon bush to replace "part 2 space saver" but I've been told not too as there needs to be play in there for body gap adjustment.
