Power Pulley Kit Differences (Z4 M vs E46 M3)

Why would there be a difference? I see Turner offers 2 different kits for the Z4 M and E46 M3?

Yet Rogue and AA don’t differentiate between the 2.

Different alternator pulley. The M3 alternator pulley looks like it fits, but doesn't line up with the other pulleys. You would need to mil off a couple millimeters to get it to work...I considered it, but decided it wasn't worth the effort. I have the RE race kit.

If you use the A/C I would say don't touch the pullies at all. I had pullies before and the Z4m A/C is already pretty bad, with the pullies you'll die in sweat (or at least I will in SoCal). If it's a track car/weekend car only then 100% worth it.

They claim it frees up some power. I didn't verify it so can't say. Did too many things at once.

Track only, can't hurt and can sure help (underdriving the powersteering should be a good thing for the pumps longevity).

hmm. I have the ECS kit on mine, and airco, airco still works a treat. no issues at all on mine. but I am looking to pull the airco and heater in a bit...

I don't know if the pulleys are worth it. Zero idea. prob can't hurt though. My airco works GREAT, AWESOME even.. better than the piece of shit in my JK Sahara.

(maybe we have different airco specced here for ME heat. thats possible, I know we have a huge ash tray too, and TV in the car..lol)
