While I had the headliner off the top you can adjust the front mounts about a 1/4". They are held on by three studs and nuts and are slotted to allow a bit of adjustment.

i dont have any wind issues, its just nice and quiet.... the materials used do smell like an old car when the sun heats it up though!!! lol...

For me the best bit is drowning out some, actually ALOT of the rpi's noise!! i never considered a hardtop but im very happy i did in the end.... Definitely one of my better purchases!!

How is the hardtop spoiler removed? The front edge of mine is sticking out and I am not sure how to adjust it down.

Take hardtop off car, take headliner out, remove 4 torx bolts and remove the spoiler.

Note though it can't really be adjusted. The way it fits against the top it interlocks and even loosely on the car cannot be adjusted fore/aft.

I wish I had pics to explain, but I just sealed up the holes and slapped it back on after paint without pics.

If you post one of how it looks maybe we can make a suggestion.

Thanks that makes perfect sense. Looks like it got improperly seated when reinstalled after paint.

I got a used hard top last winter. Used it, and it's fine, but looks unfinished on the inside.
The previous owner didn't have these do dads, and they don't seem to be available anywhere.

Does anyone have a clear set of installation instructions for the hardtop prep kit. The previous ones' photos have been corrupted. Would appreciate it, as I've finally secured an original top.

The DIY written here is the best. It’s almost too detailed as it repeats a lot of the same info so makes it sound more involved than it really is. I did the install not that long ago and thought it was straightforward. I purchased the prep kit from Tischer who has the cheapest price by far. May need to add few little things to get over the free shipping threshold.

We have been thinking about making these interior covers for the hardtop owners... but are unsure of the demand..

We do have them in hand a ready to go..

Supply the demand Any thoughts on making the actual hardtop itself? what hurdles will you run into? has this been discussed before?

Yes, the hardtop been discussed internally and quite a few had pm'd us to make one.

Two issues in general. 1) Shipping is expensive because it has to be crated.

2) Most don't want to pay for a hartop for what it'll cost to produce since mass produced OE top can be had for less even when it's not readily available. :

Got a hard top. My car is titanium silver. I want to wrap it but finding matching vinyl is a bit of a challenge.

So I am thinking to make it a contrast color. Only contrast color I've seen a picture of is gloss black. Even though its not bad I am not a big fan of that combo.

Maybe a matte grey (gunmetal) or something? Maybe a lighter grey?

Also, wonder how matte black would look like...

Looking for opinions/suggestions or even pics of what I had described above.

Anybody got photoshop skills to help visualize?
