blanks for z4mcoupe/roadster?

hi guys

coming from an 99 mcoupe I was literally sticker shocked when I found out how much a new set of rotors cost.

one thing I loved about my first gen mcoupe was how affordable parts were. I would just buy a spare set of blank rotors for 90 bucks and a set of pfcs and just swap out when I went to the track

I bought this car to track it but am not thrilled about paying 500 for a pair of rotors.

does anyone make blanks for this car? I never had an issue with them on my other car and this one weighs about 100 lbs more than an e36 m3

Racing brake makes some, but not cheap.

Rockymountain auto has Zimerman rotors (fronts) for $225.00 which is cheaper than OEM (ATE) and of the same quaility.

I found them for $230 shipped (to my zip code) from Vince at bimmerzone. I was just hoping for a cheaper option.

Can we run standard e46 m3 rotors? I know we basically have the e46 m3 ZCP rotors right?

I wouldn't mind having a one piece non-slotted to use for track days considering they are ~200 cheaper for the pair. I guess they would be smaller too.

Are you looking for more brake fade? Maybe you can get some winter tires for the track too...

Haha. Fair enough. I've never had a chance to get my 07 MCoupe on the track yet so I can't comment on fade.

I didnt have any fade issues on my 99 MCoupe with PFCs and ATE blue/gold

But even though there's a slight weight increase on the 07 I'm also not the fastest guy out there and with the 07 I'll be able to build more speed.

While we're on the topic is fade an issue with stock rotors and upgraded pads?

Upgraded pads and fluid should be fine with stock rotors.

I just ordered some PFC 08 along with Motul 600 for this season; we'll see how they do.
