Bilstein B12 Pro-Kit & Eibach Pro-Kit Springs Installed....
Replaced OEM front control arms with BMW ZHP performance control arms, OEM front control arm bushings, all new spring pads, strut support guides and bearings....front lowered 3/4 inch & rear 3/8 inch....4 wheel alignment....performed by Eastside Bavarian - Eric the Tech's acumen, detail, thoroughness and precision is awesome....

First impressions....the visual change is freaking awesome....the seat time reveals it feels like it's on rails....freaking awesome.

Bringing a thread back from the dead ....not many B12 reviews.

How does it compare comfort wise to stock ?
I’m looking at getting the B12 but some people say the ride is horrible on anything but perfect roads

I just picked up my car from the shop after getting the B12 kit and I’m happy with it. Keep in mind that my suspension was original with 130k on the clock so there were some kidney punch moments on front struts that were shot.

My observation on limited seat time is that it’s smoother, still tight/stiff and more predictable. I also like the minor visual change with the drop. My car is a DD in non-winter months so coil overs were going to be too aggressive for my needs. I’m happy with the purchase and look forward to finding some twisties soon.

I got to drive it a bunch today. It can still be jarring over gnarly potholes, but I can still just throw it into a turn and go. So much fun.

Nobody (not even Bilstein) sells B8 shocks by themselves outside of the B12 Kit. I called Bilstein Cust svc for the guy to tell me nothing new, saying himself to just use B6 shcks/struts with my H&R. Seemed fishy if they state B6 only to be used w OE non-lowering springs and B8s for lowering. He didn't get it... long story I did not go with his suggestion.

I just ordered the full B12 Kit, will attempt the install paired with H&R springs, not the Eibachs it came with. I like the additional low and I believe H&R are stiffer (positives for me)

Has anyone attempted this? If not I'll post pics and driving impression.

p.s. will have the new Eibach springs for sale soon

Does anyone know how to tell if my struts are blown out and need replacement, without having to take them off the car and fully remove them? The ride is kind of harsh, but these Z4's are known to have that. I can't feel if it's just the car or the struts...

I have a 2003 Z4 2.5 w/ 83k miles on her. She's been taken relatively good care of, full maintenance log etc... I bought her with 80K miles on her.
