i dont see how that is possible since the regular z4 is nowhere near the same the z4m. z4m uses e36 style struts and z4 uses e46 style

I said that because they have the same item number for all the Z4 models.

UPDATE: Dave Coleman with ECS Tuning is in the process of speaking directly with FK to nail down the correct parts numbers for both the M Coupe and M Roadster. It appears that they may be slightly different. I gave him the link to this thread to update us on his findings. Stay tuned...

I have the H&R/Bilstein Coilover setup and I think they are just fine for street use in the Z4MC. I have been through about 20 coilover setups in my cars over the years. Never heard of FK.

I must say when I hear people praise Ground Control or Koni I have to chuckle a little as in the highly modified NSX and S2000 track crowds we used Moton or Ohlins and really told people to stay away from Koni/Ground Control setups if they were an every weekend track junkie. They had a higher failrate and had more problems to sounding like metal on metal to riding pretty bad. But again this was Honda's.

Anyway I say go for it.

Whats wrong with your H&R springs? The front didn't cut it for me so I switched to the coilovers.

@EndlessZ4M: Do you have a pic of the PSS10 setup that you are using on the Z4M?

Can you please just elaborate a little bit more on the ride comfort and the performance of your car on the bilsteins?

I had Koni yellows on my Porsche and I loved them. My problem with H&R is that they are non dampening adjustable and for the price they should be

UPDATE: The M Coupe does NOT use the same FK Coilover setup as the Roadster. The ECS Tuning website has been updated to reflect this! They contacted FK directly and now have all the correct kits associated with the Coupe and the Roadster.

@Chad: Did you ask them what are the differences? Can you please send me all information that you gathered on FK coilovers (my mail PMed) if you're not bothered by doing it?.

Is it possible to install the M Coupe FK COs on a Z4M Roadster? Most people would do that I reckon. I would be one of them.

The problem is that I think I'm better off with PSS10 or KW V3 because of the "you get what you pay for" principle.
Unless someone can prove to me in a purely scientific method that FK coilovers are comparable to the other 2 systems in terms of: (In that order of importance)
1- Reliability
2- Performance
3- Ride comfort

FK doesn't seem to bother with my questions (maybe i'm sending mails to wrong chap) and I believe that says it all when it comes to my car.

Roads here are like shit and I can't drive anything but the M, so i need a compromise from stock suspension which is just retarded when it comes to driving on real life roads.

if you have bad roads I would just get the v3s.

I didnt get the specifics on the differences, I just want the correct setup for my car before ordering. I would suggest emailing ECStuning if you want specifics.

No pictures of my coilovers before I installed them but the height you can see in the black Z4M with black wheels thread.

When I had just the H&R springs there was about a 1 inch gap in the front and no gap in the rear. I wanted it lower, thus I went with a full coilover kit.

The other thing I noticed is that the coilovers have less bounce than just the H&R springs. The H&R/Bilstein setup is more firm and is a little rough but honestly my Top Secret/Aragosta setup I had was 10X's worse in riding comfort, but they were dedicated track coilovers. They had every adjustment you could want. They made the KW V3's or Clubsports look like Tein Suspension. LMAO!!! I can say this as I am a former owner of KW V3's. My Motons were also a better coilover setup than the KW's in every aspect as well but you are paying $8000+ VS a $1000-$2000 setup.

While I agree with you, for daily driving and long distance driving they are acceptable IMO.

Im honestly surprised there is a difference in the Z4M Roadster and Coupe as far as suspension I'm still honestly willing to bet its just a difference in part # and its the same thing.

They were great for the price. Best bang for your buck. They don't look all that well put together, like off the shelve coilovers sitting side by side next to my Top Secret and Moton setups but they get the job done. I had a set that lasted 8 years before they blew. That is outstanding IMO.

How would you say a KW v3 performed on a hot summer day?
Does heat fiddle a lot with the performance of the COs?

I believe that their twin tube coilovers specifications posted online are very very attractive. they payed a great deal of detail on the performance without touching the ride comfort zone and without sacrificing reliability, i am leaning more and more to the KW V3.

I'm just on the point of choosing twintube - monotube because of some preferences.
So it will be either PSS10 or KWv3, i have the TUV specs for the FK coilovers btw and they are in german, if anyone would like to have them please PM me.
