Measuring downforce using headlight level sensor
Has anyone tried doing this? I know we can monitor realtime voltage of front and rear leveling sensors using INPA.
I assume you can place various weights in trunk and engine bay to calibrate voltage to weight, then hit the road at 60mph, 100mph, and measure average voltage of those sensors.

Unless you have super smooth surfaces on your test runs AND you're able to maintain the same line on every run, I don't see how you would obtain anything useful data. The minute surface imperfections would throw off all your readings.

You'd get a less than smooth readout, but the general trends should still be discernible. I like the idea a lot. Clever.

i concur , the trend line would give some usefull info over a longer section of road, however, ive never hear of anyone measuring downforce in this way. Let us know if that works out, Iam writing some code for an Adrino R3 based active aero servo setup, pretty simple to hook one of those up with a high torque servo connected to your wing. I am 1/3 into this as a project myself.
