looking for aftermarket someone said any headers for an M3 will work on a Z4MR granted the M3 had an s54 e46 engine. Also my front suspension suffered some while I drove quite spiritedly across a railroad crossing. The brief air I caught was exhilarating but the supension has me wanting replacement. I get bad vibration after 60 + mph.

hmmm I have to say I just recieved more help here in just five minutes than from my dealership. Im gonna have to look more in depth. And thank you for the clarification on the m3 header deal. I just wonder why so many aftermarket labels will say they have "designed" a header for the Z4MR like its something like "ooh" special when its the same as an e46 M3? Definitely feel like I would have been had by say supersprint or one of those places. you know? but thanks so much. As of right now I still am looking for after market headers though. So if anyone can help my budget is 1300.00
I will wait as long as it takes Im patient till I see a good price. THankx |

Try the OEM M3 CSL headers, they say they are the best but cosy mucho $$$$....The next best alternative are the Active Autowerke Gen IV headers and they also cost lots of $$$. Wait it out until you can get a good deal.

You can pick up alot of headers for you budget or well below your budget. Here are a couple options you can go with prices. The prices might not be totally exact down to the dollar as I am going off the top of my head.
JVT (ebay headers.. what I run): $100-200 Bimmerworld: $699 Bavauto: $700 Agency Power: $900 Active Autowerke: $1300 SuperSprint non-stepped: $1100-1400 SuperSprint stepped: $1800-2400

<Nevermind>That jolt could have broken your passenger-side motor mount bracket as well (common failure point on ///M coupes).</Nevermind>
Your avatar is a coupe but I missed your auto description which lists roadster. To my knowledge, this problem hasn't affected roadsters.

I am definitely going to wait for something good as far as headers go. However the Agency power headers for th 99-05 m3 seem to be quite good. As I recall my buddy had this on his M3 combined with an eisennman catback exhaust and it was impressive in regards to sound and power

Dealership opinions are a hit and miss. You might run into a tech who knows what he is talking about, or into one who is fairly clueless and is guessing. In the latter case, their recommendation can cost you significant $. There is a chance you might have bent a rim considering the impact. A simple test would be to swap in some wheels you know are straight and true and see if the vibration goes away.
