Central locking, windscreen wipers, interior lights not working...HELP!!!!
Hi guys,
Hope you can help. My Z4 2.5i was off the road for a year. I bought a new battery and installed it myself. The lights in the boot immediately came on, the windows worked etc. I closed the door and locked the car with my remote key. The alarm went off some time later, so I pressed the key to stop it...no problem so far The next day, nothing. The remote would not open the door, the windows came down slightly and now won't close ,central locking wont work (I cant even open the passenger door from inside the car) and the windscreen wiper wont work. I had to open the fuel cap through the boot. Everything else works fine, even the radio.... she drives like a dream! I love this car. Brought it to my local garage and it would appear all my fuses are fine. I tried the key reprogramme as outlined in a post on this site...nothing...nada...not a dicky bird! Can anyone help? Please????? |

The local garage could not figure out the problem?

Thanks for your reply.
No. They tested the fuses and they all seemed to be fine. Strange thing, I came home this evening, thought I'd take her for a spin, got in turned the engine and the interior light came on, and the windscreen washer unloaded the whole tank of water on to my windscreen. The washer motor whined very loudly. Then it stopped....but seconds later started as suddenly again! I don't think she's possessed.....but what is going on????? |

Nope. In fairness it was 6pm on a Friday evening...POETS Day....(P*ss Off Early Tomorrows Saturday!)
They did a quick test of the fuses, and then adios.....closing time. |
