Who's running AS or SK1 Auto Cross? Stock Classes
I just want to start a list of users who regularly run their Z's in Auto cross.
It would be nice to see what people are doing to make their stock Z's fast. |

Heres what Im planning on doing:
-stock wheels, 245/45/18 front and 265/35/18 rear -and/or 18x8 40 and 18x9 40 O.Z. Alleggerita HLT, -12mm spacers giving me a -28 offset in rear with the O.Z.'s -275/35/18 and 255/35/18 Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec -Ground Control custom Konis single adjustable stock springs all within stock rules. -stock front sway bar, ours seem pretty big as it is. -alignment?? maybe 0 toe front and 2 - 3mm toe in rear?? advice? -would like to lose the stock exhaust weight and use a delete but am concerned with loosing low end torque be nice to be able to hear the car when shifting. thats it for now, lets see what happens Let me know if anyone has any concerns with the setup or if you can make it better. thanks |

Hey stubble,
I'm new to the Z4, but not to AX. Like you i'm thinking of staying in SCCA's AS category. 2010 SCCA rulebook seem's to infer any DOT legal tyre is allowed, so long as it's on stock sized rim's. Offset can be upto 0.25inch from stock. Alignment depends on driving style & comfort level. 0 toe in front should give better turn-in over a stock setup. Upto 0.25 toe out in front will turn in even better but it'll be frisky for the daily drive. Exhaust is free aft of the cat's. IMO & I've got my flame suit ON. Improvements List: 1. You, the loose nut behind the wheel :- ) 2. Tyres. 3. Alignment. 4. Suspension. 5. ARB's. . . . . |
