1/2 Mile runway event pics

Here are just a few photos from Race the Runway 2014 i took. there were over 100 cars registered to run with a top speed of 335km/h and 9.1sec 1/4 mile time in a UGR gallardo owned by prestige auto. huge turnout as well and great time

i have plenty more, but i uploaded the ones that turned out best. i didnt take pics for too long since i wanted to enjoy and watch the show as well. also chatted with some bmw enthusiasts that showed alot of interest in my car, and ended up cruising back with a 1M, pantera, 360 spider for late lunch afterwards

i hope you ran the car, doing a top speed run won't harm it in anyway apart from little brake dust.

i have a sneaky feeling it sat in the show area :-/

i wish. i tried registering but was too late. i need to register in february in order to be in the lineup. there are 4-5 groups and a total of 115 cars registered to run with 2 passes each.i will try registering again for next year

just as a comparison, a ZL1, supernake, ZR1 were all runing 250ish in the 1/2mile. LP560 ran 260 and the UR lambo ran 335 An R8 and SLS ran about 225, and an e46 m3 ran 215.

There were all sorts of cars including a turbo neon and twin motor echo. A few m3's ran as well
