Want to DIY My S54 Vanos + Value Shims But Need Tools

Hey guys, I am looking to perform the vanos hub + solenoid pack + the related o-ring replacement, AND value adjustment myself. Anyone willing to let me borrow the needed special tool for these jobs? I am going with the Beisan Systems for the vanos, and fcp value shim service kit

I don't know where to post this. I originally had this on DIY, but I am moving it here thinking it is more appropriate here.

I am in the Seattle area.

Where in the Seattle area? I'm interested to witness, offer tools/shims and help along since this is a job that's lined up for me later. I have a quick jack and garage space in case you don't. I have an OEM BMW shim kit with all the shim sizes possibly needed, timing tool, torque wrenches, Trox bits, Hex bits, etc. I live in Kent, east hill.

Tight! I was planning to do it at the comfort of my home, but I guess I can bring it over. I am at the South Seattle, so we are probably within 30mins drive from each other. I might have to leave the car over at your place for at few days though once we had started.

Given the current viral 💩 🌀, I guess we can try to do this over the summer?

Thanks bud!

That is awesome let us know how it goes!

I know there are quite a few Z4M’s in Southern Ontario, anybody up here going to be doing this service this season and want to team up?
(Cards on the table I’d be more of an assistant )

Cheers
