Yellow warning brake and triangle
So I’m driving, fast right turn and a yellow word “brake” and the yellow triangle with the circle around it came on. Both yellow and at the same time. Wasn’t running as well on way home .
This is not a flashing light, it’s on and solid and does not go off. What is this? I have a code reader? Gonna look now What caused this and does it happen often Thanks Rob |

There are previous posts on this phenomenon. The steering wheel sensor can be reset/calibrated, it sometimes just "loses its way". If I recall, another culprit for this code could also be a TPMS monitor sensor (the piece on the car) going bad.

Could be steering angle sensor, wheel sensor, or the DCS/ABS pump. In my case it was the pump. I could clear the code but it would come right back again the next time DCS was triggered.
Some folks have been able to clear a steering angle code by turning the rack fully lock-to-lock a few times. My guess is that it resets and/or frees up the sensor. |
