NEW DKF Section 1 with Resonators & Cats

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
Sold

Item Interest
Updates 2/10:
Sorry for disappearing! Had some family things come up but this is for sale and will ship out ASAP!

Added new pics at the bottom!

For clarification the whole thing comes with two (2) resonated sections and FOUR! (4) cats - two pairs of two each with different cell count. I couldn't find any markings but from memory I believe they are 100 and 300 cell cats.

I believe that during the initial run they found the thread for the o2 sensor on the mid-pipe was incorrect and customers could have their local exhaust shop cut and weld the correct bung or send it back to DKF. I'm not sure if this has the correct thread though it does have the correct end cap for folks that don't intend to run the secondary o2 sensor or will run cats which have their own o2 bungs.

Hey Everyone,
I found a brand new DKF section 1 in my basement! I was part of the original Group Buy but unfortunately my Z4m Coupe went into storage for a few years and then sadly found a new home so I never even got to try it. It is new, everything is still wrapped, I only opened the bubble wrap to take a few pics.

What is the benefit of running this setup over stock? Does it allow the use of euro headers without throwing a CEL?

Thanks buddy!

On another note, does anyone make resonated section 1's for these cars currently?

Willing to let the resonators go on their own? I already have the DKF S pipe with 100 cell cats, I'd like to try the resonators.

If you ever want to sell your cats let me know. I only have the resonators. Might want to go to headers someday.

Hey All,
Sorry I went MIA right after the FS post. We had a family emergency and I'm just getting back to this now. Everything is cool, will respond to all PMs & emails and ship this out ASAP.

Made some updates at the top and added a pic of the full set below...

For clarification the whole thing comes with two (2) resonated sections and FOUR! (4) cats - two pairs of two each with different cell count. I couldn't find any markings but from memory I believe they are 100 and 300 cell cats.

Note - I believe that during the initial run they found the thread for the o2 sensor on the mid-pipe was incorrect and customers could have their local exhaust shop cut and weld the correct bung or send it back to DKF. I'm not sure if this has the correct thread though it does have the correct end cap for folks that don't intend to run the secondary o2 sensor. This is only for folks that want to run secondary o2 on the resonators, the cats have their own o2 bungs.

Not the best pic but you can make out the two different densities/cell counts of the cats here:

The benefit is power and sound! First off, the cats are HJS catalytic converters which flow better than stock/oem so cat for cat you should get better performance. Second, the bolt in resonators and cats allow you to configure the exhaust to your power/sound/emissions needs.

This mid-pipe allows you to run straight through resonators with euro headers to go make the most power for the track, euro headers with cats for more power and pass emissions, or oem headers with resonators for more power and sound.

Sorry, I'm hoping to sell it all together unless you have a friend that wants to split the package.
