That would be great if you can make it and it would be cool to field a lot of our cars at the track! Gotta remember to bring the "good" camera and a few lenses....

A few shots of some Zs at today's EuroSunday in Sacramento. The Sapphire Black on the right is mine, the one on the left belongs to e for effort, and the one in the middle belongs to Skelekitty.

Also met another previous generation Z3M driver who is quite the track rat and who will be at Thunderhill on 4/1. The Zs will be out in force!

Looking good! Can't wait for next Friday.

We had a Z3 non M coupe drive by our house today. Man I'd love to have a 3 coupe to go along with my 4...

How often is the Euro Sunday in Sac and where exactly is it? I may want to check it out sometime. Nothing going on in San Francisco......

Flpnout: ES is every 4th Sunday and the location is a secret until the week before.

There are other ES chapters--East Bay and South Bay that are closer to you. I don't know what the turnout is like though. Today's turnout was light (probably due to the incessant rain) but January and February were in the hundred + range and a large number went on the drive as well.

I'll post up here before the next one. You can always check the website too.

Jdl1pt: I can't freakin' wait until Friday. Alignment, transmission mounts are getting down on Tuesday. Totally hear you on the Z3!

lol just cut short a two-day track event @ Laguna with Trackmasters because my brakes were toast
Tried to obtain some pads at least from the local BMW dealers but none had both front and rear. Ended up coming home early and dropping car off @ Fremont BMW (at the suggestion of many friends), and was referred to one Nick Lal. VERY nice guy and the best service adviser I've ever had the pleasure of working with thus far

The car is pretty much in for the final time. My warranty is running out end of next month...no more free shit
So I'm trying to milk them for all they're worth right now XD

Too bad you had to cut it short, but at least it wasn't the first morning! I toasted the rotors mid way thru that 12/31 NCRC day and had the spares onhand but it wasn't worth the trouble doing it trackside for just the final session. There is a brake parts specialist in Seaside that the dealer referred me to once and they would certainly have at least the fronts on hand (given that it's such a common BMW profile) tho maybe not the particular compound one may have in mind. Looks like its time for track pads for you! Hopefully the rotors are worn down enough for them to replace them, too - they're the expensive part of the job.

Make sure you get a brake fluid flush from them, if it's been two years since it's been done.

At least things should be healthy again for the next NCRC day in April.

Laguna is MURDER on brakes. I burned through an entire set of stock pads on my WRX in 2x 20 minute sessions. By the time I pulled them off back in the office, there's but maybe 1.5mm left in pad material.

My buddy who was riding with me at the time, was wondering what the hell I was doing pitching the car sideways through the Andretti hairpin. I told him my brakes were shot and the only way we'd make the hairpin is if I use the tires to scrub off speed.

Don't try that at home, kids.

hahaha I pitched the car sideways on purchase towards one of my last sessions, after the checker came out and when I was on my cool-down lap

But yeah, I'm crossing my fingers for rotor replacement as well
I'll at least get pads though, since they were paper thin. They're going to do a brake system flush too.

Seaside BMW in Monterey told me about an independent shop nearby, but I didn't want to pay out of pocket
