I love the Bronco (in theory). I've been following its rollout and first few years pretty close. I had a reservation down and spent a few hours in a couple of different trims. The 2.7 felt great, but.... I would take a B58 over the Ford 2.7 (with issues they've had - possibly assembly related) in the Bronco any day and 4.3 times on Sunday afternoons.

The Ineos is such a cool spec. I know it's expensive and probably a pain to get serviced, but... I must be near the target market. Love it.

Not even close depending on which "level" of B58 is used. The dynos don't look that impressive on the 2.7 and it's a time bomb. Now, I don't really think the power matters that much, so maybe I would still just buy a Bronco if they can fix the engine.

Well, here are the specs. Grenadier quotes "BHP", which usually means at the crank. Ford by US statute has to quote SAE Net HP (i.e. w/ accessory drive losses). The 2.3L EcoBoost is a robust engine and probably has more total worldwide fleet miles of use since Ford uses it in most all of its vehicles from the Mustang to European work trucks.

Forced to go to automatic in the Bronco to make it apples to apples, the 2.7L stomps the B58 used in the $100K Grenadier. You cite a brief 2.7L EcoBoost valvetrain issue caused by faulty supplier parts, which was rectified well over a year ago. Less than 100 failures. Go buy a Bronco, you'll be just fine.

Go search for a dyno lol. The 2.7 is nothing special and it’s not even remotely close to WHP. Couldn’t hold B58’s jock strap.

If this has been available when I was ordering my Land Cruiser 300, I would have given it serious consideration. Maybe when it comes time to switch cars.
