Both cars very clean and nice photos. I've got a soft spot for S2ks, too.

Yup S2000's are great cars. I have owned my AP1 now since 2011 and I do not have any intentions of letting it go. It served as a daily for me up until I hit 125k miles, then the valve seals wore too much. So I retired it as a daily, pulled the engine, and began modifying. After the build the engine put down 232 whp / 158 lb/ft on the original 125k 2.0 block. I am still developing the car, but the engine is sorted for the time being.

S2000........ I'm on my second one . ( '02 and '08 )
Just logged my 100,000th mile behind the wheel of an S2000.
No highway miles, no track miles,.......all two-lane blacktop miles.
I love bmw cars, and have owned many, but will never part with my S.

My current '08 is all original , except the oil filter, air filter, wiper blades, and tires. I've been driving it for five years (3 season car).....Has 58k on the clock.
It's my commuter car.

I drove this yeller one for a long time before that.

My very first roadster was a brand new 2004 2.5i Z4.
I loved the car, but not the true drivers car that the S is.
I easily parted with the Z when the time was right, but haven't been
able to do so with the Honda.

I was offered in cash what I paid for the '08 S2000 five years ago,
this past summer, but couldn't take it.

As a matter of fact, I traded my '02 on my current '08, and got back
every penny I paid for it, even after adding 45k miles to the clock.

Are you on S2ki?

It's funny, I feel S2k owners have that exact mentality, it's not just you! After owning an S it becomes the benchmark for all cars to be compared to.

BTW OP, 232WHP from an F20 is pretty sweet! Also just saw you had an RX8 too? That's a bit more up my alley

Always wanted an S600 or S800, but they are so rare. S2000 are also very rare here in Mid-Missouri, that it was never an option. I would love to have driven one. I drove only Hondas from 1985.5 Prelude Si to a 2004 Accord EX-L.

What's that piece in the middle of the lower grille on the M?

yeah, on S2ki but not a regular poster. I was a regular on S2000.com for quite a while.

I've driven a lot of cars.
Worked in the industry all my life, and....

The S is a nearly bulletproof economical machine.
It is very capable when properly driven.
It's not just best in class, it's competing well above it's stock numbers.

I have beau coup seat time, and this is my declaration !

It's a radar detector that came with the car. I don't like it personally but it does work sometimes so I haven't bothered removing it.
