What do you guys think? This is the final prototype print.

We will be test fitting and trim it this coming Saturday..

We purposely made it in WHITE so you can see the design.

But in YOUR MIND, you have to imagine this in carbon fiber and how it'll look on your car

For now of course..

This is over a year in the making and we are happy that it's coming to this stage.. Let's hope that I can score a production slot.

Very short staffed and pricing of carbon fiber raw material has gone up around the world by 15%..

It's not easy to come to this finally.. I'm quite happy that we can finally offer something for the rear of a Z4M..

Did some adjustments yesterday on the car..

Taking all feedback from cross all platforms.

#1 Trim down the fins.
#2 Better connecting points.
#3 Installation surfaces adjustment.

- So now we're going to re-draw on the 3D file.

- Print another prototype

and test fit again..

I will show version 2 next week or so..

Might be interested but I feel that the aftermarket exhaust tips on my car would produce fitment issues.

Which exhaust system do you have? How do they sit right now?

The consensus is 50/50 on the over or under fins.

Going over will mean

1. seperate mold for the fins
2. the fins will have to be installed/glued onto the diffuser
3. this will create seams and the carbon not laid in one sheet.
4. result of the above, the weaves will very likely not matched up
5. lots more labour and extra cost.

Personally, I do like the over fins better.

It's a lot more aggressive but due to all the reasons above, we decide against it...

...and only half the votes liked the over fins.

This is going back for a re-draw. (for manufacturing purpose, fitment and better look etc)

So I'll post the V2 drawing once it's done.

Let's get this thread going guys..

I have KKS Exhaust, the tips are kinda larger than the average aftermarket Z4M exhaust.

This is the V2 re-draw.

Thinner, sleeker and a bit longer fins..

Thoughts?

p.s. The exhaust in the pictures are mounted very close (3/4") to the bumper and pointed upwards.
That's how the car was scanned.

When I get my diffuser installed, I'll drop the exhuast further down.

I like v2,
side by side comparison would be better way to see difference between v1 and v2

I love this. Not sure the Eisenmann tips will sit under this though. They are pretty big compared to stock.

The drawing might be misleading but the exhaust cut-out area is not going to be smaller than OE. It'll just be extended rearward not inward.. Hope that explained it..
