Streets of Willow - May 28 & 29

All -

the Los Angeles Shelby Club (Cobras & mustangs) has invited interested BMW owners to join them at Willow Springs for the weekend of 28/29 May. They are renting the short track (a.k.a. "Streets") for their own use that weekend and they have the appropriate insurance to allow running convertables on the track. See www.lasaac.org for their information.

Edit: YES the Z4 is eligable to run, our 'roll bar' hoops are sufficient.

Many of the Cobras are 'vintage' cars with 289s, 427s, or 302 cu in motors, 'vintage' suspension and brakes. Expect to see some shelby mustangs too. Generally the vintage owners are mellow to moderate, but some guys come to put the hammer down.

I plan on running my mildly worked Z4M to see how she does.

Cost and details are TBD. If you are interested, PM me and I'll add you to the contact list.

let's go! they just confirmed that we are good to go and there are 15 openings left...it really seems logical since most organizations won't let the roadsters run.

you have to snail mail the reg in though

The only reason I wouldn't want to go is it's a multi-day event.

http://www.extremespeedtrackevents.com/ takes roadsters so I may run with them.

just sent in my registration yesterday, and I'm getting my tow hitch programmed on my x5 to tow my car that weekend
