Transport Mode. How do i fix it?
It appears my car is in transport mode (AC only thru defrost and floor) by doing some searching in the forum but i have yet to see a fix for it. Battery did get low and i had to jump the car. Put it on my tinder and is fine now except for this issue. Help me out guys TX is hot!!!

I bought a Z4 coupe in January of this year and the car was in Transport mode. I took it to a BMW service department and they returned it to normal mode via computer. Cost...$159.00. I'm guessing the tech spent no more than 5 minutes making the correction.
Since then I have purchased a Schwaben Professional Scanner that was recently on sale, for just a few dollars more, than the cost of that visit to the service department. The scanner will do the same thing the dealership did, and a whole lot more. If there are other options, folks on this site will certainly post them. David

My car was in transport mode. I took it in to an indy shop. $85 and 10 minutes of their time later, they turned "off" transport mode and my AC was back up and running. If you don't have a scanner, you'll have to take it to someone that has such tool.

If you're handy with software, you can try to resolve this with INPA or DIS. Others have had success with an OBD tool.
Otherwise, as others have said, you'd have to pay a dealer to disable it.

If you do go to the dealer, make sure they actually disable it from being able to turn on again. This was supposed to have been done on the PDI so that folks wouldn't have to deal with it but obviously there are still many Z4's out there who never had it disabled.

I resolved this issue by using the INPA software. Took about one minute. I have had the software for a couple of years now. I can tell you over those two years, the software has saved me about a thousand dollars. I paid 70 dollars for the software. Software is a game changer for a shade tree mechanic like myself.

I have inpa software. Out of curiosity where do you find that under the menu. Never had to look for it so just curious in case I experience it or need to disable it on a car in transport mode.

It's a mode that puts your car in transport
Really though. I've read that dealerships use it when transporting a vehicle to avoid further damage on components like alternator and battery from being drained. It keeps your AC from blowing cold.
