Photoshoot Anyone?
I know it's short notice, but I should be getting my car back from MAC this week and was wondering if anyone wanted to meet up Saturday (9/14) morning and take some pictures of our cars somewhere with a nice backdrop. I have an SLR that I'm still learning to use. So I'd be taking pictures, which I'd send to anyone who requests them. Let me know.

any thoughts on specific location? depending on where - I might be able to join. There are atleast 5 e85/86s in your area that I am aware of though. I moved south 6 months back.

No location in mind. Just somewhere that'll provide a nice backdrop for the pictures. For example, Hawk's nest is a great backdrop. I can't go there on Saturday thought because I gave my friend my word that I wouldn't go until he got his car up and running. So anywhere similar would be great. Are you extremely south, or in the Brunswick area? I'm next to Clifton.

hawks nest as in route 97?
Most of the good places I am familiar with are up in the palisades and Hudson valley, that's a few hours north for me. I wouldn't be able to this Saturday that far away but I am thinking in October would be great to get something set up. I wish there was a place on the beach, but its too hard to get close to the beach without running someone over.

route 97 has been on my list for 2 years now. I will make every attempt to get there this fall, maybe we can coordinate a small rally...
yeah N philly is a bit of a hike for me too, and besides it'd be tough to come close to that photo shoot you had of your recent engagement! if I can think of a good place somewhere in monmouth county, I'll throw it out there....

In any case, not to be a huge downer but I think if some 'local' guy knows a good shot for pictures, ie industrial warehouse type location, even that would be better. |

Sorry bud, can't this Saturday. I'll be working on the new car but seems like you should try to schedule something a bit further out to get others on board.

Yea I agree. It was just a spontaneous thought because I get my car back (hopefully) this week from the body shop. If no one is on board then maybe we can plan out further out.

Someone hit it while it was parked and messed up the front bumper, broke the front bumper tabs, and damaged the driver's side headlight. So I'm getting the bumper and light replaced. Replacing the bumper with an M bumper though. So I'm pretty psyched about it.

Spend the extra couple hundred and get the M bumper clear bra'd! See my review(s) I posted, the guy I went to is in Hillsborough, NJ... a bit of a hike from Northern NJ but WORTH it.

I am out this weekend as well but always around for a shoot session. Specially if anybody can do the industrial backdrop or decent rolling shots. Get something on the calendar in October and I'll make sure GTMC makes it up north.

There are folks who've wrapped cars on their own, takes a couple tries but almost certain it won't come out perfect your first time, and not to mention you'll go through a lot of wasted materials. Lee uses Suntek and Xpel, email him directly for a quote. A fresh paint job from MAC is worth protecting, god knows how much it'd be if you have to pay out of pocket for a new respray down the road.

Ok since this Saturday is too soon for most people, I'll start by suggestion any of the following Saturdays that work for me: 9/21, 10/5, 10/19, 10/26. If you guys all do the same then we can choose the Saturday that has the most votes. Keep in mind that Saturday 10/5, there is an event (http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=999501) which we can attend and take pictures at.
