Z4 M Project - Sapphire Black
Hi.
This will be a small project/photo journal for those who are interested. My name is Filip, 31 years old from Sweden. This is my second Z4 M, I had a Sepang Bronze earlier which some of you guys might know about I am a real M fanatic and this is my 8th M. You can see all of them here if you want to: www.garaget.org/philly Well, on to my current car The project will be about "restoring" it to mint condition. I would say the condition is 7 out of 10 but in a couple of weeks it will be 9,5/10 2007 22 288 miles / 35870 km BLACK SAPPHIRE METALLIC (475) LEDERAUS. Looks really nice Filip! Will be pristine by the time you're done with it.
How are the M strips in the door sills removed? Do they just pull out? Is it possible you could show us? Cheers |

They are really simple to remove, just pull them up. Held on by simple plugs |

@Digs, below is a picture of the backside of the sill plate. There are those plastic friction fasteners that look like a bird beak that slide into those slots. If you've got some pry tools, you just slide it under and pry up. There is one at the top, one at the bottom, and two more about equal distance between the M logo and each end of the black plastic. Four in total. Salty

Got some new parts today!
I HATE scuff marks and other kind of marks so I have replaced all the plastic on/and inside the car now This is the big piece that you see first of all when you open the trunk New dead pedal Bought the wrong part, haha! Was supposed to buy the back cover to the rear lights. Hope I can return it Was missing the plastic plug behind the inside door handle Last but not least, passenger entry strip |

Todays project
Removed the old M-Pedals. Bought new No name-pedals which I used fine sandpaper on to get a brushed look. I also replaced the M dead pedal with a new OEM footrest Pretty happy with the result Last edited by Philly_sweden; 03-05-2016 at 09:06 AM.. |

I'm with you on the scuff marks. I've replaced various bits and pieces, as well. The styrofoam dead pedal surprised me when I first had to remove it to pull out some carpet. That industrial hook and loop is strong stuff.
Looking great! Salty
