2016 Calendar Voting & Rules ****WINNERS ARE****

There some great submissions for the 2016 Z4 Calendar. Regardless of which photos actually make it to the calendar I don't think we can go wrong with any of these choices. So before we get started PLEASE READ THE RULES BELOW before voting.

THE RULES;

• You will have 5 votes in total (1 vote per each of the 5 polls).
• Votes in each poll will be weighted
  1. First Choice Poll (most favorite) will be awarded 5 points
  2. Second Choice Poll (2nd most favorite) will be awarded 4 points
  3. Third Choice Poll (3rd most favorite) will be awarded 3 points
  4. Fourth Choice Poll (4th most favorite) will be awarded 2 points
  5. Fifth Choice Poll (5th most favorite) will be awarded 1 point
• You cannot vote for you own photos (if I see that you voted for you own I will disqualify your vote)
• Don't vote if you are using a new account that was created within the last week (If I see it, your vote will be disqualified).
• Please vote for 5 different photo. Don't just vote for the same photo in each poll.
• Polls will run for 7 days
• Please don't post comments in the Poll Threads. Put all comment in this thread.

After voting has been completed there will be some manual calculating to determine which 12 make it to each page of the calendar.
The total for each photo will be multiplied by the points awarded in each of the polls, then the total for each picture in the 5 polls added together. Remember, each member can only have one photo make it to a full page of the calendar, so if 4 of your photos scored high, only the highest scoring photo will be used. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to do a collage on the cover or something more simple. But if I have the time to do a collage I will also use the 2nd highest scoring photo.

To avoid confusion with the polls, I suggest you make your selections on paper first. Then narrow down to 5, list your favorites in order and then vote.

Well I just voted and that was hell to pick 5, so many great photos. I had 10, but narrowing it down to 5 was tough.

WOW..... so difficult to make choices!!!!!

The only way I could tackle this is to download them into a folder on my PC and start eliminating pics by deleting them.
I find that if I keep looking at them ALL, its far too difficult.

Not to be too picky, but the picture names start out at the bottom of each pic, and at pics 7 & 8 jump to the top of each pic. I hope that doesn't confuse people when they vote.

I'm not sure what you mean...... Names are at the top followed by the picture. I double checked on a pc computers, tablet & phone and all show correctly;

1.Member Name with sequence number

3.Etc.....

You might want to clear your browser cache and refresh the page a couple times. There are a lot of photos so it might take some time to load the entire page.

Thanks! I actually put together the first draft of the calendar yesterday to check out what it will look like. I ordered a proof to check out the quality so hopefully it gets delivered within 7 days.

Thanks for organizing all of this! I'm sure its a lot of work. I'm a bit concerned about the earlier photos getting an inordinate number of 1st place votes simply due to placement; I wonder if it would be more fair to put the same weight on each vote?

EDIT: And I am sssssoooooooo going to order a calendar. I'm a longtime gearhead who has seen these calendar things come by many times, and this will be my first time buying. These photos are fantastic.

Well I think it would be unfair to change the process midway since 30 people have already voted with these rules in place. Regardless, the point to have the votes weighted is to show a clear 12 placements. Saying that I did some quick tabulating with both ways and the top 10 are the same photos, only the 11 & 12 spots have completely different set of photos. So really I don't think it makes much difference which way you skin this cat, it's a race really for the last 4 spots as all those numbers are within a vote of each other.

Agree that it would be unfair to change now. Interesting that it would not change the top 10! And thanks again for doing all of this.

I ended up doing the same thing. It was painful to eliminate down to the final cut. Wow! So much good stuff here!

A big second to that. Getting these organized and set up is a lot of work. And as the number of photos increase the complexity isn't a linear.

I have been trying to come up with a cover that's simple, unique and pays tribute to both the e85 & e86. I'm no graphics designer but I had a vision, however, I think it looked better in my head then on paper. This is a rough sketches, so let me know what you guys think? Or we do a single cover shot or a collage.
