I think it would've looked better if you wrapped just the bottom of the side-skirts instead of the entire side skirts.

The black side-skirts right now just make the car look like you got the replacements from a junkyard but can't afford to paint them properly so you at least put them on so the car doesn't have missing body panels.

Too busy for my taste. There is just too much going on.

Should look better if the side skirts and gas cap were blue. I'm sure lowering the car and getting new wheels will help too. I vote CH-R's. Forget the Beyerns.

Thanks for sharing.

The sides need some work, the bottom halves black and black gas tank just doesn't work. I think if you spend some time sketching you might come up with something cooler, maybe following one of the lines of the body or cutting it in an interesting way.

I don't love the trunk, but it's definitely interesting to look at.

Keep at it! The more you mod the better you get at it.
Thanks. Will work on something this week.

Can someone photoshop the skirts to match the body? With some slight CF on the very bottom of the panel?

maybe keeping the black lines from the front to the back and keeping the hood blue would look nicer, that's what they did with the f30 and it looks cool. just saying, in the end is your taste what matters

Wrapping the hood will be a PITA. Besides, I've grown to like this look for the hood.

Thank you so much for the input though!

I don't think you understand. I meant, unwrapping the hood so it will have it's original color and then put the same lines (which are now blue in the hood) but in black so it continues with the black color of the lines that comes from the bumper.

The blue you see in the pic is not the original blue. That is a vinyl wrap. If I unwrap the Carbon Fiber from the hood you will see the true colour of the car: Toledo Blue

I greatly appreciate the input. Thanks to these guys, I've decided to wrap the skirts blue to match the body. I've already ordered the material and will start working (and probably also finish) tomorrow

so the whole car is vinyl wrapped or just the blue line of the hood? still, whatever rocks your boat, just saying that it might look cooler being the whole car blue with just the black lines like the bmw performance

The whole car is wrapped. It was toledo blue. Then I put a CF wrap on the hood. And then the gloss metallic blue to the rest of the body. And finally the stripes. But I hear ya. Going to try the skirts first in blue.

Agreed. What about RG2s?

The main thing is the OP loves it so you have to respect that.

OP... 25 is not that young. I always relate to kids 24 and under so you are a grown ass man.

Pics of the update! As the Z's get more affordable there seems to be more traffic in this forum. I like all the different styles that are showing up in here. Maybe i'll start a thread for my car

Not my taste - but I appreciate the work you're putting into it. Agree with others, its way too busy looking. Too much going on. The Z4 lines are already somewhat 'standing out among the crowd' - adding a multi-color / texture scheme makes it too much. What vinyl are you using? 3M 1080?

Vinyl makes it fun to play - at least its not 'forever'. Sometimes just because you can do things.... doesn't mean you should or it will look good... i.e. like the gas cap. Would be quick and easy to vinyl a different color, doesn't mean it will look good GL

PS I'm 27. Not sure if that's classified as young - age is relative.

Yeah. I believe its the skirts that make it look sore. Will be changing that today. Yup 3M 1080 scotchprint.

I hope the final product works out.
