Illuminated shift knob check

I bought a very clean second hand illuminated shift knob, my car came with genuine Zhp, i bought this as a spare. I dont think it does have part number stamp anywhere but the connector which has the stamp 8 373 577 02 and BMW. Could somebody confirm that this is a genuine item?

What, do you actually think it's counterfeit?
Not sure where they'd stamp a part # where you wouldn't see it when installed, unless inside the hole.

I got a M5 weighted/lighted knob, feels much nicer than my stock one, it's a little shorter, the leather on the boot is nicer and the LED is a little brighter.
