Help!! Top wont lock in place

Woke up this moring and went to work only to find out im having top issues. So i pressed the close top button on my car everything worked fine until it tried to lock in place. Right now im getting a flashing red light and roof wont go down or lock into place could it be the motor???

Assuming you've had this car for a while, this is your first post here? Tsk, tsk. Kidding, sort of.

First thing to check is there are two black rollers on the windshield header (attached to the car) that the black locking hooks glide over when they try to lock. It's possible that if these don't move the locking hooks may not be able to do their thing. Check and see if you can move those rollers with your finger.

If troubleshooting the rollers doesn't yield any result then it is possible that the locking motor has blown. Here is a video that covers the locking motor. If the motor isn't showing any signs of life, before buying a new one perhaps pull the connector, throw a multimeter on it and check to see if it is getting power when it is supposed to actuate the locking mechanism.
