The banner tells me I need 4 replies and 1 hour to be "upgraded" to allow PMs.

I understand the reasoning for that and using this as a means to gain replies, but it would be nice to have other ways to verify people. Sadly I have no good solutions to offer at this moment.

I noticed that replies in "Offtopic" sections don't count.

The banner appears when you register and verify your email. It says:
"In order to use the PM system and be a full fledged member of this community, you will have to make 4 post replies and wait 1 hour for your account to be upgraded. "

Do you think that you are going to get a single dime from any of them? The only reason they are here is to steal coding or map downloads, which requires 5 posts to enable the PM function to receive the response. Feel free to search any of the above users' forum profiles for their post history if you want to find the piracy threads.....
