Update DME with latest SP-Daten?

Folks - I posted a few weeks ago that I picked up a 2006 Z4 M roadster. I've gone through car now and corrected all of the issues it had and everything is working as it should. It runs and drives great.

My question: should I update the DME (and other modules) to the latest software version? The last time the DME was updated was in 2009. Anyone aware of any significant changes to the DME software since then?

Part of me wants to bring the software up to date, but there is the other part that says 'if it's not broke, don't fix it'

Thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks

I think the latest update is from around 2014, on the UK forum it was said to improve driveability at low rpm and idle hesitations

The first part of you "wants" but for no reason except "up to date". The 2nd part has a reason to leave it alone. A good one.

Leave it alone. My 2c.

Some software versions are for different parts of the world, where equipment required for emissions in the U.S. (like the DMTL) is not installed. Oxygen sensor and EGT calibration also varies depending on the intended market for the software.
